Been Busy Adulting!
I have been busy adulting. A lot has happened in life since I last posted bumping many hobbies to the side. Besides the work to pay the bills, several family deaths and hospitalizations of relatives meant other family members needed my husband and myself to help them. My husband is still fighting his bone cancer and that can be a stressful situation as the treatment makes him very ill. In addition we added two small ankle bitter dogs to our family from the local county animal shelter. My house has been adopted by yet another cat who is not friendly enough to be petted yet, at least I know he is a boy so thank the feline gods no kittens, my bachelor pride is now up to three. I really wish people would stop dumping their house cats who are great cats at my house. I have raised and added three new chickens to our flock. The Jungle has retaken my yard, and several trees are going to require the chainsaw, limbs came down, or they split in two. Of course work has been work, my daily schedule is crazy long too. I contracted the sickness that is taking all the staff down last month and this month... for 9 days I was bed ridden, could not even think straight, just sleep and be miserably gross... even when I was up and back to work that took everything I had. Two rounds of heavy duty antibiotics later and I am only now starting to feel well, but as it attacks your lungs still coughing up phlegm. I decided to take James Ward's advice and loose some weight, get more active to hopefully avoid certain health problems no one needs. I decided to restart my Martial Arts training which is helping me regain balance and physical strength that I lost because of injuries that the gym type activities were not helping with. I have also been support driving for some disabled Veteran bike rides as well. So just crazy busy! My coworkers are also trying to help me learn new granny skills such as crocheting.
I am feeling better and have been musing about my various RPG loves, campaigns and articles during all the craziness. I plan to post some more old D&D fun things. In addition I have a race and culture of humans to work up for FrontierSpace that originally graced my Star Frontiers game. I also just love Star Frontiers Sathar and need to bring them into FrontierSpace in some form... every Space Opera needs Space Worms! Okay I admit I maybe a bit biased concerning my love of the Space Worms but every Sci-fi campaign needs a race or two willing to put living brains in jars, cyborg not just their own but other races, genetically tamper with others, terraform a planet already colonized by others, ethically shallow by other race's standards and that dabbles in weird science.
Have a great day folks, keep on gaming, and keep on loving.
