Paper Miniatures

Over the years I have collected free Paper Miniature files but never got around to making any. I just never seem to get out to buy card stock or the printer is out of ink every time I wanted to print a page.

However I got ink in the printer and decided to print some on regular paper and see how I liked them.

I hit on the idea of recycling old greeting cards by carefully sandwiching the card between each sides of the figurine and gluing the sides on. I used some old glue stick I found in the craft supplies because it is low moisture. I then used my flat bread rolling pen to press down the sides good onto the card. I used regular old scissors to do the cutting and only used the Exacto Knife once in a while.

I made the stands out of cardboard shipping boxes in the recycle pile. I used a black Sharpie to black out white sections, colour the stands, and deal with any issues that made the figurines look sloppy. I definitely learned to make sure you choose one side to be the front just in case the sides did not line up well.

I started with some Fantasy Fairies I believe these are from One Monk. All in all I decided this is hands down the easiest way to make figurines for your RPG needs.

I then printed out a few from other sources. The sci-fi fantasy guys where harder to do because they are not mirrored the same as One Monks but still very doable with some thought and carefully lining the sides up on the recycled cards. Found a few Insect Alien guys to print up too.

All in all I decided this is hands down the easiest way to make figurines for your RPG needs. Storing them should take up less space as well which is always a plus.

Next I will have to try buildings and scenery type things. Eventually I will want to design my own as I want some for Frontier Space and my ideas for the settings I am working on.

Happy Adventuring In The Realm Of Imagination!
